So I asked the question to “CrossFit – Forging Elite Fitness” for all of us who don’t know.
What is CrossFit? CrossFit is an effective way to get fit. Anyone can do it. It is a fitness program that combines a wide variety of functional movements into a timed or scored workout. We do pull-ups, squats, push-ups, weightlifting, gymnastics, running, rowing, and a host of other movements. Always varied, always changing, always producing results. Kids, cops, firefighters, soccer moms, Navy SEALS, and grandmas all do CrossFit. In fact, hundreds of thousands worldwide have followed our workouts and distinguished themselves in combat, the streets, the ring, stadiums, gyms and homes.
As a bodybuilder, I always wondered what the hype was about. I’m thinking, bodybuilders are lean, muscular, strong, why do we need CrossFit. Isn’t it the same thing with some jumping jacks added in? No not at all! I have not tried it yet, but will soon during a pre-contest prep coming up, to help me get leaner. These guys kick some serious ass. Whether you just want to take what ever sport and kick it up a notch, you can add some element of this type of training to help improve your physique or sport.
Why not try some CrossFit, either on it’s own or in addition to any kind of workout.
