In part 2 we are featuring some simple but tough upper body workouts. The first video is performing front plate lifts. If you don’t have access to a barbell plate, grab any flat surfaced item that your hands can easily grip. Make sure its heavy enough to offer resistance, but not too heavy to hurt yourself if your just starting out. I would recommend to do them exactly the way she shows you. Start by holding steering wheel grip, left hand on the left side, right hand on the right side. Hold out arms length, lift straight up. You can go over head as well. Then you can do the same thing but starting to lift with your left hand at the top of the wheel, then do the right side. You could do, 10 reps straight up, then 10 left hand up, 10 right hand up, finish with 10 more straight up. A few sets and you will be on your way! This is a simple but amazing exercise for shoulders, arms, traps, and your entire back. Not to mention, fat burning once you get some rhythm and intensity. Don’t forget to play some motivating music to get you energized! Thank you to Meghan Comeau for the video! What a great muscular back and shoulders!
The second video is host and super model Brook Burke doing arms and shoulders with dumbbells. If you don’t have dumbbells, find some household items until you can get some. Even doing the exercise with no weights will get you off to a good start.
