I am very sad to say, within our “Flawless” Media Group, we have collectively lost many family and friends over the last year due to cancer, and diabetic related issues. This made us look hard for answers, only to have the door closed in our faces. We wanted to find out more as to why we can have a friend or loved one, fine one moment, and gone the next, due to these illness. It’s a very touchy, sensitive subject and as well, very difficult to have any answers from the medical community as to the causes. It seems that, they either don’t know, or don’t want you to know, and without being a medical Doctor specializing in these subjects, we are not allowed to talk about anything in detail.
When we speak of sugar, we don’t only mean, the white stuff, some people put in coffee or in a soda drink, but all the processed foods containing cane sugar, wheat, grains, processed baked goods that convert to sugar, including bread, rice, grains, cookies, chips, and confectionary products.
While searching for answers, we discovered a website, featuring Medical Doctors who have not only cured patients of several types of cancer, but cured themselves. We encourage you to look through the site listed below, as there are countless articles, and some that may be of specific interest to you.
The immediate article on the link below, is about Dr. Fred Hatfield who cured himself of bone cancer through a very low carb / ketogenic diet. Fred lost a lot of weight, and now lifts weights. His regime included moderate to high fat and protein, and only 20-45 grams of carbs a day. His Daily carb intake would be about equivalent to 1 large potato or a medium bowl of rice. However, Fred does not include any starchy carbs, such as rice, potato, bread or any grains, including cereals, cookies or any processed foods. His carbs come from salads and green vegetables, and some fruit. He is careful with the fruit, as the carbs can add up quickly with fruit. In addition to protein such as eggs, poultry and fish, he includes plenty of good fats from fish, coconut, nuts, olive oil, and MCT oil.
The second half of the article, is regarding a woman, who battled breast cancer twice, and cured it both times. She followed almost an exact diet, only with even less carbs, down to a maximum of 20 grams of carbs. So basically no carbs at all. In her article she goes into details of her battle, but the exact diet she follows. When she loosened up on the diet the cancer came back, and as she tightened it back up again, she went into remission. Anyone who has know anyone with cancer, or have concerns themselves, it is a good web site to at least get informed with. On a personal note, along with weight lifting, we are very involved with the world of dragon boat racing. If you ever attend a regatta, you will here stories how how many women are battling breast cancer. It is devastating to say the least. We’re talking hundreds at a time! On the good side we see more anymore survivors, and teams made up of all women who are breast cancer survivors. Go, girls, go!
Can all disease be eliminated with a diet as such. Likely not, but who know’s. However, there absolutely seems that there is proof that many health issue’s are directly related to what we consume, whether it’s in the form of processed foods, alcohol, sugar, or starchy carbs. Most likely, any of these things in moderation won’t cause problems, but with type 2 diabetes on the rise with people over 40 or 50, and cancer mysterious taking away our friends and family, it may be a good idea, first to be informed, talk to your Doctor, and as well perhaps get to know a good Nutritionist, or Holistic Nutritionist.
Certainly eating healthy nutritious food, keeping your weight down, and having a consistent exercise plan is certainly an entrance way to the right path.
